The truth is, if your parents weren’t present with you, you’re probably not actually present with your kids.

You might not even realize it.

Passive parenting is an epidemic.

When you are with your kids, BE WITH THEM.

Put your phone down.

Stop thinking about work.

Stop thinking about your money problems.

Stop thinking about your problems with your wife.

Just be completely engaged with your kids.

Look them in their eyes when you speak to them.

Actually think about the things they tell you.

Remember, we are raising adults through childhood.

We are not “raising children”.

So, do me a favor….

Next time you have some one on one time with your daughter,

cherish it.

Like, really soak it in.

Be radically engaged.
