Happy Sunday,
Quick update on the survey from Friday’s request.
I appreciate everyone who took a few minutes to share their insights in the survey.
It will help shape the GRLDAD community.
We are on the brink of something massive, and you are at the heart of it.
The mission is to help dads like us connect with our daughters by providing advice and resources from real Dads. And now, we're leveling up.
Your experiences and insights from being a GRLDAD are helping us build a community to “help the next Dad.”
We want the best for our daughters; we also want the best for our fellow GRLDAD.
We are making big plans based on the feedback we receive. These plans include content, events, and partnership initiatives. They will help you on the father-daughter journey, no matter where you are.
Right now, based on community feedback, you are in one of these phases and moving closer to the next one:
The Overwhelming Introduction:
The first cry, the small fingers holding yours, and the weight of the world on your shoulders. The fear of the unknown as a new dad, wondering, "Am I equipped for this monumental role?"
The Terrible Twos Tornado:
Understanding a child's tantrums, deciphering their babbling, and longing to know their thoughts. The anxiety of balancing patience with discipline.
Teenage Turbulence:
She’s changing, physically and emotionally. Those long silences, unreadable expressions, and the growing independence. As she searches for herself, your role to her is changing, and it's wrecking your mind.
The College Goodbye:
Packing childhood memories into cardboard boxes and facing an echoing, empty room. The silent dread of letting her face the world alone and yearning for those bedtime story nights.
The Walk Down the Aisle:
Holding back tears, taking those slow steps, and entrusting her happiness to another. You realize your daughter has grown up, but her future will be filled with love and joy because you ensured it.
(There are a few bridge phases between these, we realized as well from feedback.)
Across them all, we want to learn how to assist you in your current situation. We also value your wisdom from your experience as a GRLDAD.
That starts with our simple 4 question survey.
If you haven't yet shared your feedback, we'd love to hear about your personal GRLDAD journey:
Your insights won't just influence our content and community decisions. They have the power to redefine father-daughter bonds globally.
Every dad should know they're not alone in raising a daughter.
Feeling concerned, doubtful, or fearful? It's completely natural. And the good news? We are sharing the knowledge and support of active community dads.
Together, we're creating a world where every father-daughter relationship thrives.
Your perspective will help us reach that vision even faster.
Thank you for being a part of the change we are making for Dads worldwide in the GRLDAD community.
Stoked to see what we build together,
Dom
